Your Role as a Logic Business Consultant

There is never a typical day at Logic, but that’s why people love it here! As a Logic Business Consultant, you’ll work alongside clients as you help them make a real difference to their customers: your friends, family and neighbors. You will use a variety of tools to translate customer needs into solution capabilities – including, but not limited to, gathering and documenting business needs of the client, providing system demonstrations, testing, training and driving process engineering.

Seeing as this is a highly interactive, complex role; you will be able to use your strong analytical skills, communication, problem-solving, and business skills. You’ll work with our retail customers to identify their challenges and collaborate with your Logic colleagues to develop and craft solutions. You might spend your day:

  • Participating in the Conceptual/Detailed Design Sessions to review the client’s business process definition, organization structure, and KPIs.
  • Assisting in determining how best to utilize Retail Solutions to meet their changing business needs.
  • Assisting in the translation of business needs to configuration specifications, partnering with the Technical Consultants, to gather business needs.
  • Participating in the creation of various project deliverables and work products.
  • Being responsible for overall business aspects of each phase of the project. Functioning as a Business Consultant on the project team. This team will support the development of test scripts, training, pilot and UAT phases of the implementation.
  • Providing business knowledge of Retail Solutions to clients incorporating retail common practices. Assist the client in process design.
  • Providing leadership in the development plan, creation, and execution of the project.
  • Continuously developing depth and breadth of knowledge within Retail Solutions.
  • Developing presentation and client leadership skills.
  • Developing expertise on best practices and use/implementation of Retail Solutions.
  • Actively leading and contributing to your practice area through identification and creation of implementation focused deliverables.
  • Complies with all Logic defined processes and procedures.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree OR equivalent retail experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience of business analysis, familiar with requirement gathering for application development.
  • Experience working in a complex organization with an appreciation of how the dynamics of growth affect corporate culture and in-place processes and systems.
  • Working knowledge of PCMS and Oracle merchandising products -merch hierarchy, locations, etc. and services or the ability to quickly develop a working knowledge of PCMS products and services.
  • High motivation to ensure smooth delivery of difficult and complex project for both the customer and Logic.
  • Strong technical awareness and the ability to understand the reasoning and implications of technical decisions.
  • Experience working in a complex organization with an appreciation of how the dynamics of growth affect corporate culture and in-place processes and systems.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate and interact well with co-workers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and strong cross-functional relationships
  • Goal-oriented and driven attitude with a superior ability to execute and sustain a high sense of urgency.
